I was watching the "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and I was inspired to make this blog about my Best friend.
April Grace. That's my besties name. We met 5 years ago. I was one year older to her and she called me Manang in our language.
April and I are opposites. Very.
April is a happy-go-lucky girl. I thought sometimes if she do care about her problems. She still manage to joke around though she had problems.
I admit that my best friend is beautiful. Meron siyang laging bagong boyfriend while me has a zero love life.
Although sometimes, nagkaroon ako ng sama ng loob sa kanya nang itago niya sa akin na buntis siya. I thought, I've not been a good friend. Sa iba ko pa nalaman. Ang sabi niya, natakot daw siyang sumbatan ko siya. I know, I treat April as my young sister coz I have sisters also. I always tell her, Pril, kung susubukan mong pasukin yang sex na yan, just don't forget, iwasan mong mabuntis. Nag-aaral ka pa. Mahirap pang nabuntis ka. Oo, mahal ka nga nya, pero hindi pa siguro time for that matters. You still have many dreams, right? Naiyak ako ng malaman ko ang nangyari sa kanya. Nagkulang ba ako sa pagremind sa best friend ko?
I was thankful because of what our Head told me. She said: "Lyn, it's not that nagkulang ka. It's her decision and willingness why she got pregnant. Yes, you just guide her. But, di mo hawak ang pag-iisip ng kaibigan mo. Just always remember, just walk beside her. Be there when she needs you. Para wala siyang maiisumbat sayo. Ang mahalaga tanggap mo siya bilang kaibigan niya. In that time, I realized na hindi ako nagkulang.
Nine months after, she gave birth and naging ninang ako sa anak niya.
I graduated college at hangang sa nagkatrabaho na ko ung friendship namin hindi parin kumukupas. We may not seeing each other, minsan lang kami nagtetext dahil busy rin pero deep in our hearts, our friendship don't fade.
