PHILIPPINES REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH BILL

I was a bit disappointed when I was watching tv the other night because the church and the current government was arguing with the RH BILL or the REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH BILL.

I want to share this video to you guys. This video was uploaded by on 9 Oct 2010.
The vid shows both sides. The Catholic and the real situation in Manila.
For me, I agree with the RH Bill because of the over population here in the Philippines. The government can't even solve the poverty problem how much more the Church. I am too a Catholic and I believe with karma. But as we looked at today's situation, we are really struggling. There are many street childrens, unemployed people, and squatters.
The government is trying to control the population through this bill.

GO ORGANIC!

Nowadays, people are getting sick due to the lifestyle we are practicing.
If you want to be healthy, we should eat fresh, pesticide and chemical free foods. We should now go for Organic!
There several reasons why we should eat organic foods.
1. ITS NUTRITIOUS! - studies show that organic food is filled with  more vitamins, mineral, antioxidants and flavonoids that conventionall grown foods.
2. IT TASTES GOOD! - organic fods is grown in harmony with nature - so it's naturally more delicious and flavorful!
3. IT'S CHEAPER. - looking at the price tags when comapring organic and conventional products is misleading. If you include long term costs such as social, environmental, and health costs, you'd realize that organic food is much much cheaper!
4. IT PROMOTES BIODIVERSITY! - organic farming disrupts native cosystems as little as possible in its methods which promotes the grwoth and development of wildlife species.
5. IT PROTECTS FUTURE GENERARTIONS! - children are up to 164 times more sensitive to cancer-causing pesticides used in conventionall grown foods. Going organic will lessen the risk of future health problems.
6. IT HELPS RURAL COMMUNITIES! - organic farming uses locally available materials and manpower which creates and maintains sustainable local communities.
7. IT REDUCES HEALTH RISK! - many toxic chemicals linked  to cancer and other diseases are still used in conventional farming. Going organic means prevention and protection from these long-terms effects.
8. ITS ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY! - organic farming does not pollute waterways, air, and soil. It uses renewable input materials which is safer and healthier for the environment.
9. IT BUILDS HEALTHY SOIL! - organic farming relies on the belief tha healthy soil equals healthy foods. Using natural inputs, farmers make an effort to maintain the vitamins, minerals, and quality of the soil.
10. IT MEETS QUALITY STANDARDS! - organic farming is strictly regulated to make sure that organic produce foods meet up to quality standards. When you buy organic, you are getting a product that lives up to its name, a healthy you, and you can help small farmers and communities.

WHY THE FILIPINOS ARE STILL POOR?

I saw this video posted by Ms. Saab Magalona.
I was too curious about this video so I watched it and hope you to would see this.

My Point Of View about this vid is that why is it most of us questioning that we are poor? We are all depending on the current administration. Well, I'm not a fan of PNoy and his sister Kris Aquino but, before the administration of PNoy, Philippines is already poor. Our country is already facing economic crisis and before it is already corrupted by the highest government official.
I think this video is biased. Hope that you to guys would leave a comment about this video.
