HOLY WEEK IN GUIMARAS

We are given a 3 day vacation because it's holy week and we decided in the office to have a bonding time. So we decided to go to Guimaras. We went to Pagatpat Resort.
Pagatpat Resort is located in Mantangingi, East Valencia, Buenavista, Guimaras . It is named after "pagatpat" because of a species of mangrove growing around the place for centuries. The resort was owned by Father Cornelio Jaranilla, Jr., OCD.

How to get there:
We travel to Pulupandan for 45 mins. by jeepney.
Next you will ride on a ferry boat going to Mc Arthur's warf in Guimaras for about 45 mins.

The ferry operators provides life jackets for incase of emergencies.
When you get in the Wharf, there are jeeps waiting for passengers. We will ride in the jeepney for about 15mins.

And there you go! Pagatpat Resort.

Pagatpat Resort has 5 rooms, 3 cottages, a one 4-level tree-house and a restaurant. All of these amenities are made of native products and stand on strong mangrove trees, preserving these natural resources. River cruising is also available where tourists and guests will be able to see the mangroves preserved by this private resort as well as other neighboring islands. Fishing is also an option to those who want to experience "panikup sa punot", or catching fish through the fish trap. Not only fish can be caught but as well as squid and other seashells.

The Resto:

They offer sea foods, meat and porks, but unfortunately they don't offer organic foods anymore. Travelers can do many activities in the resto like, videoke (that's what we did! =)), watching dvd or just sleeping.
